“Ms. Shamsi was a big hit with both students and staff! Several staff emailed me that they wanted to purchase her books for their own children. Ms. Shamsi was able to discuss her books and her writing process in a way that was relatable and inspirational to our students. Many students commented they loved how sincere and kind Ms. Shamsi was answering their questions. We would love to have Ms. Shamsi back every year!” – Kristy Nadler, Cottage Lane Elementary School

“Shirin Shamsi is a great author who writes to the interests of young children. My 3rd graders got the opportunity to have a zoom meeting with her for World Read Aloud Day and got to hear part of one of her books. She answered questions they had about being an author and told them her inspiration for the book.” – Kylie Winslager, 3rd Grade Teacher, Arlington Elementary

“We were honored to have Mrs. Shamsi discuss Laila and the Sands of Time for our middle school girls Book Club. She has such a sweet and engaging personality, which kept this age group interested the whole time. Having Mrs. Shamsi share valuable insights and personal background related to her book allowed for the participants to gain deeper meaning, and perhaps reflect on their own life’s journey.” – Children’s Book Club Discussion
